Strathmore Men’s Touch Football League

A new, exciting league open to 18+ year old residents of Strathmore, Chestermere, Wheatland County, Rockyview County, and Calgary. This 7-on-7 touch football league will be played on Sunday mornings with a final playoff day on Saturday, over the course of a 10 week schedule in Strathmore. Fee to join will be $50 with ALL PROCEEDS being donated to local youth football programs.

This group has been created to generate buzz and interest as final details are still being worked out. Pending start of this league will be August 26, 2018. Please join, comment and share if you would be interested in playing as there would need to be a minimum number of players for the league to be feasible. Once further details have been sorted, sign up times and dates will be posted.

Touch football is a fun sport and similar leagues have been very successful all over Canada. This is a chance to have some fun in Strathmore while supporting a great cause – youth football programs.

Inquiries can be sent to Strathmoremtfl@gmail.com.

The fine folks at Strathmore’s Boston Pizza have got behind the league and are hosting registrations July 23rd, August 1st, and August 8th between 6-9pm. Reminder that the league will be kicking off Sunday August 26th, with all regular season games being played Sunday mornings in Strathmore, and the final playoff day being played Saturday October 27th. Fee will be $50 and all the proceeds will go to youth football! There’s a lot of interest in the league, so keep spreading the word and hope to see you on one of the registration days!
